Athens - Day 4 - Laundry Day!

Today, Abey and I woke up early and headed out to get the laundry done...we left the hotel around 7:15 am. We decided that on our way, we would stop at Starbucks for a Iced Latte and Vanilla Bean Frap, however at 7:30 am, Starbucks wasn't open yet! Amazing, Sunday morning and Starbucks doesn't open until 8:00 am. Abey and I debated, do we wait or continue on? Abey indicated another Starbucks was closer to the laundromat, so off we went on a Starbucks mission.

Again another beautiful day is ahead!

Abey in front of our regular Starbuck which is closed! :(

We arrived at the Starbucks on the south side of Athens around 7:55 am and it was just opening, so we got our drinks and headed off to do laundry... obviously priority was coffee then laundry! :)

The only Laundromat in Athens...its tiny only 4 washers and dryers but we got 3 loads done in 1.5 hrs. As Abey and I waited, we meet some folks from Australia, and California who also had a need to get some clean clothes.

Traffic going back to the resort was very busy! Sunday must be beach day in Athens because it took almost double the time to get back. The rest of the day was spent swimming, catching squid, fish and sea urchins. Again another beautiful day by the pool.

The kids wanted to jump off the platforms into the Mediterranean Sea. It was the first time they had the courage to jump in with the big fish! (Dad - lol)

Jacob's friend and Kristen have something in common...belly flops!

Abey and Kristen doing a cannonball!

Jacob following up with a bigger cannonball!

Kristen mid-air trying to splash her brother who dove in this time!

Abey in great cannonball form, watch out below!

Jacob, nice dive buddy, Mrs. Lynn would be proud!

No Running!

Another great Jacob dive!

Kristen, another cannonball!

Ok, let get some drinks!

As the night came to a close, we watched the sunset in the west over the mountains from the balcony. We had room service and the kids enjoyed watching "Sponge Bob" in German and drinking homemade Lemonade!

Small fishing boat  in the sunset!

The Greek, Astir Group and the EU flag.

Amazing sunset as we listen to some tunes on the balcony, Mr. Morin Style! Little GnR, Whitesnake and off course a little Queen to round out the evening! (Finally got the jambox to sync)

To our surprise, tonight was the Pentecost Holiday in Greece! Around 11:00 pm, when most kids are sleeping the sky light up with a fireworks show for about 10 mins. We have been lucky with celebrations and fireworks (Queens Birthday in Sydney and Pentecost in Greece).

Another Great Night in Greece!
